At the annual general meeting of the German Federal Association of Aviation Security Companies (BDLS), Oliver Damer was elected the new Vice President.

The by-election to the executive committee of the association had become necessary due to the resignation of the previous vice president Nicole Oppermann, managing director at DSW Deutscher Schutz- und Wachdienst GmbH + Co. KG.

Every year, more than 224 million passengers and 4.9 million tons of freight as well as hundreds of thousands of employees are checked and protected by more than 23,000 private security forces at German airports. The BDLS focus on the extensive activities of aviation and airport security, which the Aviation Security Act obliges aviation security authorities (§ 5 LuftSiG), airport operators (§ 8 LuftSiG) and airlines (§§ 9 and 9a LuftSiG).
